Petaluma is a coffee-drinking community. Of the readers responding to the Argus-Courier’s online poll Jan. 3, 2007, 93 percent said they drank coffee in the morning. Of the respondents, 30 percent said they drink latte compared to 21 percent who drink regular coffee. Petaluma coffee drinkers prefer to buy their beverage from a local independent than from a chain store.
