Saving water is no problem whatsoever, said four out of five Petalumans participating in the Aug. 15, 2007 online Argus-Courier poll on water conservation.Of the respondents, 82.4 percent said that water conservation was not a burden to their daily life, as opposed to 17.7 percent who felt it was a burden.Additionally, 82.4 percent feel they’ve been successful at conserving water while 9.8 percent didn’t feel successful. A strong majority of those responding to an Argus-Courier online survey Aug. 8, 2007 about downtown surveillance cameras are in favor of their use. Of those responding to the survey, 59.5 percent favored the cameras, while 30.4 percent were opposed and 10.1 percent were not sure. Petalumans are concerned about what goes on in convalescent hospitals. Eighty percent responding to the Argus-Courier’s online survey Aug. 1, 2007 said that they are concerned about the health and safety of people in convalescent hospitals.
