Most people who responded to the Feb. 18, 2010 Argus-Courier online survey say they are making an effort to grow their own food and they have their own vegetable garden.

A slight majority (56.6 percent) of respondents to the Argus-Courier’s online poll last week are optimistic about an economic recovery, but only 7.5 percent are “highly” optimistic. Nearly 36 percent say they are pessimistic.

Sixteen out of 28 respondents to the Argus-Courier’s survey on crime Feb. 4, 2010 say that crime is worse in Petaluma than it was two years ago.

Two-thirds of those who responded to the Argus-Courier’s online poll last week say that Petaluma’s roads are in “poor” condition. More that half said streets are worse than they were five years ago.

The vast majority of people who responded to the Jan. 28, 2010 Argus-Courier online poll are passionate about conserving water, even though reservoirs are full after a series of heavy rainstorms last month.
