Who will represent southern Sonoma County, on the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will be decided this June. Incumbent David Rabbitt, of Petaluma, has been challenged by Penngrve farmer John King to represent the 2nd District. Most of those who took part in the Argus-Courier’s unofficial online poll preferred Rabbitt.
Here were some of the comments:
“David (Rabbitt) is a man of strong character and he can make tough decisions in tough times. The Board of Supervisors needs his continued leadership.”

“David Rabbitt is owned by developers, businesses and special interest groups. He always has been. You don’t amass a war chest like this by being independent.”

“Mr. King would be a breath of fresh air next to the political spin machine David Rabbitt. Mr. King is an honest man.”

“Rabbit is doing a terrific job – I am proud he is my supervisor and glad he wants to continue to serve.”

“Rabbit has done nothing significant for us in his time in office. It took a citizens group to fight Dutra. The rural roads in our area are still atrocious. And his support of Efren Carrillo is reprehensible. We deserve better representation. John King, please save us.”

“We have been very fortunate to have Supervisor David Rabbitt represent us in Petaluma. He is dedicated, honest and makes the right choices for our County. ”

“What has Rabbitt done for the south county and Petaluma in four years? I can’t think of a thing.”

“If they (those candidates) were the only choices, I would vote for John King.”

“David Rabbitt really cares about the people who live in his part of the county. He is willing to do everything he can to try to make sure that concerns are addressed. He is very family orientated.”

“I couldn’t even hold my nose and vote for either of them.”

“David Rabbitt has proven he is the right person for the job and demonstrated it with a great track record as the current Sonoma County Supervisor.”

“This is no contest, I’m voting for David Rabbitt all the way .”
